Here’s what’s on Randy’s Vinyl Tap for Nov 04/05 2017
The vinyl highway follows a familiar route on this edition of Vinyl Tap as Randy Bachman has the third show in the series he is calling “Then and Now”.
At one end of the pop music spectrum you have the one and done acts… artists who may appear only once in the charts and then fade away to obscurity… but living on as one hit wonders.
At the other end, you have artists who began their careers decades ago and are still going strong… often appearing in different groups or musical settings as their careers progress. Some get one dream gig and stick to it. A good case in point is Bill Wyman. The bassist for the Rolling Stones since 1962 just celebrated his 81st birthday and is still a member of that band.
This week’s then and now playlist includes George Michael, Stevie Nicks, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Sonny and Cher, The Who and many others.
So look through any window but be sure to wake me up before you go go and to tune in to the Tap.
